Make/Model: 2002 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail
Engine: 88 cubic inch H-D
Paint: Kenny Reynolds – Chattanooga, TN
Owner: James Bullard – Chattanooga, TN

James Bullard’s Softail pictured here has gone through quite a transformation. Unlike most bikes that are customized a piece at a time; this bike was involved in a head-on 40 mph. collision in 2006 that left it practically demolished. Luckily, James walked away with only minor injuries. Not being one to easily give up, James started rebuilding it himself starting with just the frame, motor and transmission. With the addition of chrome uppers and lowers, Thunderstar wheels, diamond braided cables, chrome controls and Vance & Hinds Big Shot exhaust, this bike is dripping with chrome. Tying it all together is the Kenny Reynolds “jade sunglow” and ghost flame paint job, which is absolutely dazzling in person. He takes particular pride in the good job he’s done and the stunning ride he ended up with after the blood, sweat and tears.

Many of our readers will probably recognize December’s Biker Chick April. She has worked at Thunder Creek Harley-Davidson in Chattanooga for almost three years, and now works in shipping/parts receiving. When she’s not lugging boxes of officially licensed merchandise around, she enjoys hanging out with her four daughters (ranging from 3 to thirteen years old) and drawing portraits. She is a down-to-earth cool person who never lost her patience or sense of humor throughout what turned out to be her first photo shoot. Thanks April!

Special thanks goes out to James Bullard who took time out from his security consulting business (J.W. Enterprises) and many other responsibilities to not only deliver the cover bike, but partially disassemble and reassemble it in order to get it in and out of the door (did you notice the absence of his o-ring engine guards?). Also, we would like to thank Riders Bar and Grill (Lee Highway and Airport Road) for letting us steal their dance floor for an afternoon to use it as our studio space. Photography was performed by our own “Tom the Bomb” Blevins (who is now single).
