This month’s featured bike is an old favorite: the Harley-Davidson Duo-Glide. Although these bikes are pretty rare, Jimmy Cunningham’s 1963 is even more so because it is largely unrestored. This bike won first place at the Rat’s Hole bike show in Daytona this year, but I caught my first glimpse of it while hanging out with the CBB gang in and around Jimmy’s garage a few months ago (check out the pics online in our Event Pic section at
http://www.roadrashmag.com). Jimmy had the pleasure of meeting Willie G. Davidson at the National Harley Owners Group Convention in Knoxville last month and had him sign the windshield bag. I guess even Willie recognized this bike as a true piece of nostalgia and a thing of beauty.
Speaking of beauty, the sweetheart we’re featuring this month, Katy, is a nice complement to the classic bike. When she’s not posing for the camera or doing promotional modeling, Katy works as an office administrator for a research and development pharmaceutical company. So… not only does she have a smile that would brighten any day, she has brains to boot.
Special thanks goes out to Jimmy Cunningham for supplying the bike and delivering it to the Road Rash studio. Photography duties were taken care of by Ronnie Miller from Tunnel Hill, Georgia. He’s done a great job for us in the past, but this time, he submitted so many great pics that it was nearly impossible to choose which ones to publish.
